Avengers stars unite to endorse Kamala Harris in 2024 presidential race

Avengers stars endorsed Kamala Harris, voicing support for her focus on social, environmental, and economic issues.

On Thursday, Mark Ruffalo and several fellow Avengers cast members, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Danai Gurira, publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in her 2024 bid for the U.S. presidency.

Ruffalo, known for his environmental activism and social justice efforts, voiced his concerns on X (formerly Twitter), urging voters to participate, writing, “Don’t sit this one out. It’s the one where we will lose big: Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, Affordable Care Act, Social Security, and as of today, life-saving vaccines. This shit is real and it’s going to come for you.”

In a video posted by Ruffalo, Johansson welcomed fellow stars with “Thanks for jumping on the call,” to which Samuel L. Jackson humorously responded, “I think you mean assembling!” Also appearing in support of Harris were Downey Jr., Evans, and Gurira.

Kamala Harris has gathered a broad range of support from Hollywood celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, and Lizzo. DiCaprio emphasized the urgency of climate action, stating in an Instagram video, “Climate change is killing the earth and ruining our economy. We need a bold step forward to save our economy, our planet, and ourselves. That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris.”

Beyoncé also took to the stage during Harris’ reproductive rights rally at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, declaring, “We must vote, and we need you…Our voices sing a chorus of unity. They sing a song of dignity and opportunity.”

These endorsements reflect growing support among celebrities advocating for social, environmental, and economic reform in Harris’ campaign, with Ruffalo urging, “This is real, and it’s going to come for you.”
