Megan Thee Stallion admits lying to Gayle King about relationship with Tory Lanez
In her newly released Amazon Prime documentary 'Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words', rapper Megan Thee Stallion acknowledges she misled journalist Gayle King in a 2022 interview regarding her relationship with rapper Tory Lanez.
Reflecting on her statement to King, Megan admits in the documentary that she was untruthful when she denied having a sexual relationship with Lanez, who was convicted in 2022 of shooting Megan in a 2020 altercation in Los Angeles.
The documentary captures Megan stating, "Yes, I lied to Gayle King… we were supposed to be talking about the shooting." She explains her frustration with being questioned about her relationship with Lanez instead of the shooting incident.

During the original CBS Mornings interview, King asked Megan if she had a "sexual relationship" with Lanez, to which Megan initially hesitated before responding, "I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory." Megan's answer attracted public skepticism, with figures like rapper 50 Cent questioning her account.
Beyond personal revelations, Megan’s documentary chronicles her career struggles, recent successes, and the release of her new album, 'Megan: Act II'. The documentary also follows recent legal actions Megan has taken.
Megan recently filed a lawsuit in Florida’s Southern District against blogger Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, known online as Milagro Gramz, accusing Cooper of harassment, defamation, and promoting a deepfake pornographic video involving the rapper. The suit claims Cooper has consistently insulted and spread misinformation about Megan, allegedly to "denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements."
The lawsuit also states that Cooper, who allegedly supports Lanez, has referred to Megan as a “lying a** hoe” and encouraged defamatory rumors. Megan's complaint alleges this online harassment has led to emotional distress and tarnished her reputation.
