Investigative journalist Laura Loomer has raised concerns about Judge Angelo Foglietta’s impartiality in a Philadelphia court hearing involving Elon Musk.

Musk was scheduled to appear before Judge Foglietta at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, following a court order related to his $1 million giveaway to people who signed his swing state petition for the 2024 presidential election. However, Musk did not attend, which may lead to contempt of court charges and a potential fine.

Loomer claims that Judge Foglietta’s sister, Thea Foglietta, has a history of political activity, including donating to Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign and openly criticizing both former President Donald Trump and Musk.

Loomer states that she found Federal Election Commission (FEC) records linking Thea Foglietta to donations for Harris’s campaign. Additionally, Loomer has shared screenshots allegedly from Thea’s social media posts on X, formerly Twitter, where she is reported to have expressed critical views of Trump and Musk.

One post from October 5, 2024, reportedly includes Thea retweeting a claim about Musk “blocking a large % of the Left’s tweets.”

Loomer also claims that Thea Foglietta’s social media includes strong opinions about Trump, allegedly describing him as “petty, cruel, and vindictive” and herself as “never Trump.” These details, according to Loomer, could pose questions about Judge Foglietta’s impartiality in Musk’s case, given Musk’s public endorsement of Trump.

In light of these findings, Loomer has called for Judge Foglietta’s recusal, suggesting that his connection to his sister’s political stance might conflict with his ability to remain unbiased. However, no official statement has been made by Judge Foglietta regarding Loomer’s claims or his decision on the matter.
