Succession star Brian Cox, celebrated for his role as the unflinching media mogul Logan Roy, has brought his character back to life in a moment that’s resonating with fans, especially as the US election approaches.

Over the weekend, Cox attended a campaign event for Kamala Harris, where TikTok user @Yevit captured a now-viral video with the actor delivering a classic Roy-style retort.

The clip starts with @Yevit playfully saying, “I hope they play *Hot To Go*,” referencing a popular TikTok trend. Cox, staying in character, responds directly, “This is a ‘get out to vote for Kamala Harris’ event.”

When she jokes further, saying, “OK so… Charli XCX?” Cox sharply retorts, “What the fuck are you talking about? Jesus fucking Christ…”

Cox’s political leanings have been made clear over the years, with the Scottish actor being an outspoken critic of Republican candidate Donald Trump. Drawing frequent comparisons between Trump and his Succession persona, Cox has previously branded the former president as a “fucking asshole.”

In April, he stated he had a contingency plan in place if Trump were to win the election, explaining, “It’s very hard to govern America and you certainly don’t need idiots like Trump doing that.”

This latest video further highlights the array of A-list support rallying behind Harris, with recent endorsements from Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and Jennifer Lopez, as well as actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Cox’s fierce on-screen alter-ego seems to have channeled the passion he brings to his real-life political beliefs, adding to the growing star power pushing Harris’s campaign.
