In a interview on the We Are Man Enough podcast, British singer FKA Twigs shared reflections on her experiences of alleged abuse by ex-partner Shia LaBeouf, calling the tactics of abusers "predictable" and "boring."

Speaking with hosts Justin Baldoni, Liz Plank, and Jamey Heath during the final week of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Twigs highlighted how learning about abusive behaviors helped her understand her experience, allowing her to see it was not unique to her. "I’m just supply; I could have been anyone,” she explained, sharing that she no longer takes the experience personally and finds relief in understanding these tactics as part of a broader issue.

The Magdalene singer recounted how her past relationship became controlling and frightening, detailing incidents where LaBeouf allegedly endangered her safety. FKA Twigs filed a lawsuit in December 2020, accusing LaBeouf of emotional, physical, and psychological abuse, including claims that he knowingly gave her an STD and manipulated her through fear. The lawsuit was scheduled for trial on September 29, 2025, after delays due to LaBeouf's alleged stalling tactics.

Throughout the interview, Twigs conveyed a strong message of resilience, sharing that she now draws strength from her experience and feels privileged to share her story. Despite the painful memories, she aims to bring attention to domestic abuse awareness, noting how many survivors face significant financial and emotional challenges after leaving abusive situations.

Her legal team recently accused LaBeouf of evading discovery obligations, citing issues such as lost documents, with LaBeouf's attorney claiming the dispute is "simple" and unrelated to the trial. Nevertheless, Twigs’ lawyers emphasize their commitment to seeking justice, aiming to ensure accountability. Twigs’ insights, shared widely online, continue to resonate with followers and inspire discussions on the complexities of domestic abuse.
