Robin Wright recently shared memories of her time with Tom Hanks on the set of the iconic 1994 film Forrest Gump and their latest reunion for the movie Here.

In an interview with Today, Wright, 58, reminisced about Hanks' dedication to his role, which often left them with little time to connect as friends. “Every lunch period, Tom was out running," she recalled, alluding to his character’s memorable long-distance runs, “so we didn’t really get to hang out.”

Now reunited for Here, directed by Forrest Gump’s Robert Zemeckis, Wright and Hanks cherished their time together. "It was like getting the band back together," Wright said of reuniting with Zemeckis and Hanks.

The film, which employs AI technology to age the actors through various stages, tells the story of a special place across multiple generations. Hanks echoed Wright’s sentiment, stating they "picked up right where we left off," enjoying a sense of camaraderie born from shared history.

The pair’s nostalgic connection has fans eager to see their on-screen chemistry in Here, which debuted at AFI Fest.
