Grammy-winning music producer Metro Boomin is facing a lawsuit from Vanessa LeMaistre, who alleges sexual assault and emotional trauma stemming from an incident in 2016.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ describe how LeMaistre, who claims to have been dealing with grief over the recent death of her infant son, met Metro Boomin on a trip to Las Vegas in the spring of 2016. The two reportedly became acquainted, and he later invited her to his Los Angeles studio.
LeMaistre alleges that in September 2016, while visiting Metro at his studio, she observed him using codeine, despite warnings from his associates. According to the lawsuit, LeMaistre took half a Xanax pill and had a drink to manage her emotional distress, subsequently blacking out on the studio couch. She claims to have regained consciousness intermittently, alleging that she awoke in a bed with Metro Boomin on top of her, later realizing she was in a Beverly Hills hotel room. She says she has no memory of how she got there but recalls Metro telling her it was “time to leave”.
Following this incident, LeMaistre discovered she was pregnant, which she claims was Metro Boomin’s child, as she had not been intimate with anyone else during that period. She states she chose to terminate the pregnancy in November 2016 and is now seeking damages for mental anguish and emotional trauma. Additionally, LeMaistre suggests that lyrics in Metro’s 2017 track “Rap Saved Me” were directed at her, referencing a line about taking “a Xanny” and fainting.
Reps for Metro Boomin have not responded to requests for comment. The case remains pending, with LeMaistre pursuing punitive damages for the alleged assault and ensuing emotional suffering.
