Three-day-old body of football coach found in vacant flat
A three-day-old bullet-riddled body was found inside a flat in DHA Phase V on Tuesday.
Azam Rajpur, SHO Clifton police station, identified the deceased as 65-year-old Ghani Rehman, son of Gul Iman, who was a football coach hired by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
The body was found in a flat situated in Tauheed Commercial Area of DHA Phase V. Police registered a case on the complaint of the victim's son, Zubair Khan, and started an investigation. The deceased was a father of three and resident of Shah Rasool Colony.
Ghani Rehman had been missing since he left the house on October 26, SHO Rajpar said, adding that the family had filed a missing report at Boat Basin police station. The deceased's mobile phone location helped the police and the family trace his body.
According to local residents, the flat was unoccupied, but some people used to come there on and off. Police suspect that Ghani Rehman might have picked up an argument with his friends which led to his murder.
