PM Shehbaz invites global investors to invest in Pakistan’s future

Premier highlights immense potential for international collaborations in healthcare, education sectors

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to global investors to invest in various sectors of Pakistan's economy.

Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh on Tuesday, he expressed Pakistan's readiness to join nations leading the way towards a future of innovation. The theme of this edition of the initiative is 'Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow.'

The PM highlighted the immense potential for international collaborations in Pakistan’s healthcare and education sectors. He stated, “The future of human advancement lies in collaboration and working together. No single country can harness the potential of tomorrow without the support of others.”

Shehbaz urged global investors to bring their expertise and experience to Pakistan as the country embarks on a journey of resilience and shared prosperity.

He reiterated that Pakistan is on a transformative path, focusing on stability and growth, and called upon friends and partners worldwide to work together towards a future defined by innovation and progress.

The PM further outlined Pakistan’s vision for a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation in three key areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI), education, and healthcare.

He affirmed that Pakistan is committed not only to embracing AI but also to excelling in it by training skilled engineers and data scientists, thereby equipping its workforce to leverage AI across various industries.

In terms of education, Shehbaz noted the government’s focus on reforms, vocational training, and digital literacy to cultivate a tech-savvy generation. He mentioned initiatives like the Daanish School and the Education Endowment Program, which aim to provide quality education to deserving students.

On healthcare, he praised young medical professionals in Pakistan for pioneering health-tech solutions and envisioned a future where doctors and scientists collaborate across borders for improved health outcomes.

He pointed to institutions such as King Edward Medical College, NUST, and Agha Khan University as potential leaders in breakthroughs for diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.

The PM also made a passionate appeal to the global community, stressing that dreams of global progress and prosperity cannot be realised without restoring peace in Gaza and halting the bloodshed there.
