An anti-polio campaign has started in Peshawar, aiming to vaccinate 865,755 children. Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram officially inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops to children.
He visited various health centers and other areas in Peshawar to oversee the campaign and met with parents to raise awareness about polio prevention. The deputy commissioner emphasised to parents that vaccinating their children against polio is crucial for their safety and the future health of society.
He added that the complete eradication of polio is a shared responsibility and that parents' cooperation is vital.
Strict safety measures will be followed during the campaign, with teams reaching every street and neighborhood to vaccinate children. The Deputy Commissioner praised the dedication and efforts of the polio teams, saying that their hard work has brought the community closer to eradicating polio.
