Another day, another troll - that is often what the diary of a young celebrity entails. Last week, it was Zara Noor Abbas hitting back at naysayers who had taken offence at her sense of style on Instagram. Now, it is Ehd e Wafa actor Alizeh Shah, who turned to her IG Stories in a blaze of fury to attack those who had left comments on her outfits.

"I know being a Pakistani and having a different sense of fashion causes a lot of issues for people, but really, is that even my problem?" she penned.

Alizeh's rage stems from comments left on her photos, some of which feature unconventional sartorial choices - for Pakistan, at least - such as midriff-baring tops and short skirts. One photo showing the young actor in a leg-revealing outfit prompted the comment, "You forgot to wear trousers, I guess."

Rather than addressing every comment individually, Alizeh opted to resort to her IG Stories to send a widespread message. "You guys love watching these Pakistani actors wearing choti si choli and lehnga in films and enjoy that, but if we wear something that we like, you start calling us out? And for what?" continued the doe-eyed Ishq Tamasha actor. "I am a public figure, not a public property, so please keep your lame opinions to yourself! I'm done tolerating!"

Alizeh's Instagram handle is resplendent with either selfies or solo photos carefully chosen to highlight her best features, and whilst many of the comments are complimentary, others are less forgiving. "Literally, why do you guys have to follow Western culture?" queried a follower.

However, far from moulding her sense of fashion to please her followers, Alizeh has stood her ground and offered her own theory for their criticism. "I honestly feel pity for you haters," she continued in her IG Story. "You guys are just obsessed. Hating on me just because you were not loved enough."
