Kate Bush hinted at a return to the recording studio, confirming her enthusiasm for a new album in an interview on BBC Radio 4's “Today” program. Bush, known for her pioneering music style, shared that although she hasn’t yet started recording, she is “very keen” to dive into her next project once she wraps up work on her latest archival and web projects.
This announcement comes as Bush promotes her short film Little Shrew, inspired by her song "Snowflake," a 2011 release aimed at raising funds for children in conflict zones.
The 66-year-old artist’s last album, 50 Words for Snow, was released in 2011. Since then, her popularity soared again with “Running Up That Hill,” which topped UK charts in 2022 after its inclusion in Stranger Things. Bush’s reclusive nature has left fans eagerly anticipating her next move, especially after her 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, which she did not attend.
While Bush expressed excitement for new music, she remains cautious about live performances. Her last stage appearance was in 2014 for her Before the Dawn residency in London. However, Bush’s recent interview has fans hopeful for both new material and the chance to see her live once again.
