Prime Minister Shehbaz set to visit Saudi Arabia and Qatar this week

The PM will also represent Pakistan at COP 29 in Azerbaijan on November 11.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Saudi Arabia and Qatar this week.

According to Express News, Prime Minister Sharif will depart for the Saudi capital Riyadh tomorrow, where he will participate in the Riyadh Investment Forum 2024.

Following his stay in Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister will travel to Qatar on October 31, where discussions are expected to focus on strengthening Pakistan-Qatar relations.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will represent Pakistan at Conference of the Parties (COP 29) and attend the conference scheduled in Azerbaijan on November 11.

Pakistan to showcase top 10 green startups at COP29

Pakistan plans to present its top ten climate-focused startups at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, this November. These innovative ventures aim to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental issues, shared sources on Friday.

The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad launched a cutting-edge Green-Tech Hub (G-TH) to drive the country’s shift towards sustainable energy. This hub provides a platform for young entrepreneurs and industry experts to develop and expand green initiatives.

At the hub’s launch, Ignite CEO Salaal Hassan announced the selection of ten promising startups from agritech, energy, and related fields for COP29. Additionally, three startups will receive extra support to enhance their fundraising and job creation efforts.
