Prince William recently shared a rare personal reflection on his brother Prince Harry, recalling a powerful childhood experience with their mother, Princess Diana, in a promotional clip for the upcoming documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness.

In the clip, released on October 26, William spoke about Diana taking both him and Harry to The Passage, a UK charity supporting the homeless, when they were young. He described it as an eye-opening moment that revealed the broader realities of the world outside royal life.

William, 42, recounted how his mother made everyone feel comfortable, engaging with those at the shelter and helping her sons understand the disparities between their lives and others'. He shared, “I remember at the time thinking, ‘Well, if everyone doesn’t have a home, they’re all going to be really sad,’” but was struck by the joy and resilience he witnessed there. The experience, he explained, opened his eyes to the varied lives people lead.

This statement marks one of the few times William has publicly addressed memories involving his younger brother since their relationship became strained following Harry’s departure from the Royal Family in 2020. While Harry has also spoken about their complex sibling bond, particularly in his memoir Spare, William’s remarks offered a glimpse into their shared past and the lasting impact of their mother’s compassionate influence.
