Who won the Timothée Chalamet look-alike contest?
Actor Timothée Chalamet surprised fans by showing up at his own look-alike contest held near Washington Square Park in New York City on October 27. Organized by YouTube producer Anthony Po, the contest attracted a crowd of hundreds, including numerous Chalamet doppelgängers dressed as his characters from Dune and Wonka. However, police soon intervened, ordering the group to disperse due to the event’s lack of a permit and issuing organizers a $500 fine.

During the event, fans competed for a $50 prize and a chance to be crowned "Best Tim," with Staten Island resident Miles Mitchell ultimately taking the title. Mitchell, dressed in a purple Willy Wonka outfit, tossed candy to fans from a briefcase and posed with a novelty check. “I’m excited and I’m also overwhelmed,” he said, acknowledging the event's unexpected scale. As the contest relocated to a nearby playground, the remaining contestants engaged the crowd, showcasing their Chalamet-esque features. Social media posts and video clips of Chalamet’s surprise appearance quickly went viral, amplifying the event's popularity and sparking further discussions around fan culture and celebrity look-alike contests.
