CEC Raja observes Uzbek elections

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja met with his Uzbek counterpart and held discussions on exchanging electoral experiences between the two countries, a spokesperson for the ECP said on Sunday.

CEC Raja is currently vising Uzbekistan as special observer for the ongoing parliamentary elections there.

He visited various polling stations in Tashkent, ad directly observed the electoral process. He praised the arrangements made for voters' convenience and commended the polling staff's performance.

During the visit, he met with Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan Chairman Zainuddin Nizamkhojaev Makhmatovich.
