On October 24, rapper Lil Durk was arrested in Florida, facing accusations of attempting to kill the alleged murderer of his associate, King Von. According to Fox 5 San Diego’s October 25 report, the court indictment, released following his arrest, alleges:

"Co-Conspirator 1 made clear in, coded language, that Co-Conspirator 1 would pay a bounty or monetary reward, and/or make payment to anyone who took part in killing [Quando Rondo] for his role in [King Von’s] murder."

Following the news of his arrest, people took to X to mock Lil Durk, referencing the term “Tejadas.” As reported by Vibe on October 4, Durk recently made his acting debut on Power Book II: Ghost, where he portrayed a cousin of the Tejada family, known for their involvement in drug trafficking.

After the arrest, netizens on X began comparing Durk’s situation to his fictional character, joking that he might still be living in the world of the show, with some suggesting he “must have f*cked with the family.”

"Soon as Lil Durk start fw the Tejadas he get picked up by the Feds," wrote one user.

"Lil Durk must’ve really thought he was Cane Tejada’s cousin the way he tried to disappear too," wrote another.

"Damn so lil durk locked up for that move he went on with the Tejadas," added someone else.

Others joked that Durk’s return to prison was inevitable, given his association with the “Tejadas.”

"Lil Durk left Tariq and The Tejadas hanging to avoid catching a case and he still caught one," commented another user.

"Lil durk, from getting get back for the Tejadas to getting back into prison," another said, posting a GIF of someone in jail.

"Durk got himself involved with them Tejadas.. look at him now," joked a different user.

"Soon as Durk start f*cking with the Tejadas look what happened," added another.

After Durk’s recent arrest, social media users began comparing him to his character, Bronze, who was linked to the Tejada family in the series finale of Power Book II: Ghost. Stills from the recent episode inspired fans to share jokes and create viral content about the coincidence.
