Rahat Fateh Ali Khan mourns the loss of musician Tafo Khan, calling it a significant loss for the music world.

Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan expressed his sorrow over the passing of musician Tafo Khan.

"With Tafo Khan's death, a chapter of the music family has closed," said Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

"I extend my condolences to Tafo Khan's sons, nephews, and singer Sahir Ali Bagga," he added.

"It’s a significant loss for the world of tabla and music," Rahat Fateh Ali Khan stated.

Currently, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is on a world tour.

Yesterday, Renowned Pakistani musician Ustad Tafo Khan passed away at the age of 78 after months of illness.

According to details, Ustad Tafo Khan had been unwell for several months due to kidney disease. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital, where he passed away today.

Born in 1946 into a family of musicians, Ustad Tafo Khan was introduced to the tabla at a young age.

He performed alongside many prominent artists, including Mehdi Hassan, Noor Jehan, Ghulam Ali, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and Shazia Manzoor. His Punjabi song "Sun Way Balori Akh Waliyan" became immensely popular.

Ustad Tafo Khan also introduced other artists, including singer Nasibo Lal. His style was unique and unmatched.

Ghulam Ali and Sajjad Tafo are his close relatives, while singer Tariq Tafo is the son of the late Tafo Khan.

The great musician of the Indian subcontinent, often referred to as the "King of Rhythm," will have his funeral prayer held on October 27, Sunday, after the Zuhr prayer at the Janazah Gah in Karim Block, Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore. His burial will take place at the Shahenshah Cemetery.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Executive Director of Alhamra Sara Rasheed, and many artists expressed deep sorrow and regret over the passing of the award-winning musician Ustad Altaf Hussain Tafo Khan, praising the late artist's contributions to music.
