AVLC busts gang of bike-lifters

Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell have arrested gang of bike lifters and recovered 12 stolen motorcycles from them.

Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of police claimed to have arrested a four-member gang of bike lifters and recovered 12 stolen motorcycles from them.

According to AVLC spokesperson, police also recovered snatched mobile phones and motorcycle parts from the suspects Israr, Azhar, Ahmed Nawaz and Muzzamil.

The well-equipped motorcycle thieves had electronic machines and toolkits for disassembling motorcycles. They used to sell motorcycle engines, gearboxes, shock absorbers, wheels, brake drums, headlights, mudguards, seats and wirings taken from dismembered stolen bikes in the Hub town of Balochistan.

The spokesperson said AVLC Korangi traced the suspects on technical basis. The recovered two-wheelers include nine 70cc motorcycles of various brands and three Honda 125cc bikes. According to the spokesman, the group of arrested accused were habitual criminals, highly active and wanted by the police. The group along with other fugitives used to commit street crimes.
