TANDLIANWALA:

A case was filed against the investigation in-charge who registered a false case of drugs.

The CPO suspended the investigation in-charge. In the case filed by SHO Tarkhani, Sub-Inspector Adil Gulfam, against his investigation in-charge, Sub-Inspector Naseer Ahmed Aamir, it is alleged that the investigation in-charge filed a drug against his rival Akmal Masih, a resident of 220GB, due to personal grudge.

Akmal Masih and Riaz Masih were unaware of this case due to which they were declared pro-claimed offenders.

Riaz Masih applied for interim bail, on which an inquiry was conducted by the SP Saddar Division. It was revealed in the inquiry that the investigation in-charge Naseer Ahmed Aamir and the accused are residents of the same village and cases were pending against both of them on property dispute.

Due to this personal grudge the in-charge investigation exceeded his authority and named the innocent in the drug case.

The police registered a case against their own department personnel under section 26 of the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997 and Section 155C of the Police Order 2002 and acquitted both the accused named in the FIR by declaring them innocent.

City Police Officer DIG Kamran Adil suspended the investigation in-charge, issued a charge sheet against him, and appointed the SP Investigation as the regular inquiry officer.
