Lahore Youth Festival trials kick off

The final competitions are scheduled from November 8 to 10

LAHORE:

The Lahore Youth Festival trials kicked off with the 100m races featuring participants from 28 universities.

Punjab Sports Director General Pervez Iqbal said on the occasion that the festival would feature eight games and the winning athletes would receive cash prizes amounting to Rs8 million. The final competitions are scheduled from November 8 to 10.

Additionally, the Khelta Punjab Games are set to take place, featuring players from 116,000 clubs across the province. The DG said it would be the largest sports event at the club level in Punjab's history.

Khadija Imran from the Lahore College for Women University secured the first position in the trials.
