Beyoncé expected to perform at Kamala Harris rally in Houston, boosting 2024 election campaign
Beyoncé is set to appear and perform at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Houston on Friday, October 27, 2024, according to sources familiar with the event.
The pop icon, who is from Houston, will join Harris in a high-profile appearance as part of the 2024 election campaign. Harris has been inviting celebrities like Bruce Springsteen and Eminem to energize voters in the final weeks before Election Day.
Beyoncé, who has not been heavily involved in politics since performing at Hillary Clinton’s 2016 rally and President Barack Obama’s 2008 inauguration, will return to the political stage to support Harris. The event in Houston coincides with a tightening Senate race between Republican Sen. Ted Cruz and Democratic challenger Rep. Colin Allred, adding significance to the rally.
Harris’ campaign spokesman also confirmed that singer Willie Nelson and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, will attend the rally.
