Parts of scores of stolen motorbikes found
Sachal police raided a scrap warehouse near the Punjab Bus Terminal and arrested a suspect. A large number of spare parts from stolen and snatched motorcycles were recovered. According to SHO Sachal, Aurangzeb Khattak, the suspect was identified as Jumma Khan, son of Gulab Khan. He allegedly bought stolen motorcycles and parts under the guise of scrap dealing.
This is not his first arrest; he was previously caught for purchasing stolen goods. Police estimate the recovered parts belong to around 1,000 motorcycles. Typically, motorcycle chassis were dumped in deserted areas but are now melted down and reused.
The haul was so much that police had to hire six pickups to transport the seized items to the police station. Investigators are now questioning the suspect to identify and apprehend other suspects linked to the stolen motorcycle parts ring.
