Love Is Blind Season 7 Finale: Which Couples Said “I Do” and Which Didn’t?
The seventh season of Love Is Blind has reached its dramatic conclusion, bringing with it a whirlwind of romance and heartbreak. As always, the Netflix dating series delivered plenty of twists and turns—from love triangles within the pods to shocking breakups in the real world.
While some couples ultimately failed to make it down the aisle, others defied the odds and tied the knot.
Here’s everything you need to know about the season 7 finale of Love Is Blind, including which couples made it to the altar and which went their separate ways before saying “I do.”
Taylor and Garrett
From their initial connection in the pods, Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans seemed like a match made in heaven, bonding over their shared scientific backgrounds. While 30-year-old Taylor is carving a path as a clean energy policy consultant, 33-year-old Garrett works as a quantum physicist. And yes, their science-themed tattoos certainly helped spark their connection.
In an interview with Glamour, Taylor reflected on her bond with Garrett: “I’m not a ‘woo-woo’ person at all, but he had a tattoo of the Heisenberg principle, and I have my little hydrogen tattoo, and we connected on all these little things. I think the universe in the pods was saying, ‘There’s all these coincidences that are just more than coincidences, and this guy very much checks so many of the boxes that you’ve been looking for.’”
For the most part, their relationship appeared to glide along smoothly. However, they faced a significant challenge in episode 10 when Garrett responded to a text from his ex without informing Taylor. Understandably upset, Taylor believed Garrett should have been upfront with her about the exchange. After having some tough discussions at a group costume party, the couple traveled to San Diego to meet Taylor’s family. They seemed to overcome their emotional hurdles, and in episode 11, Taylor’s mom joined them on camera to help her daughter choose a wedding gown.
It was no surprise when Taylor and Garrett were one of the two couples who successfully made it down the aisle in episode 12. During his vows, Garrett expressed, “The beautiful thing about us is that we didn’t come into this expecting to find our person... to find the connection that we had in the pods, and to find the feeling that I hadn’t felt before and that I never thought I’d ever find, that magnetic connection that we talked about.”
At the altar, Taylor said to Garrett, “I love your sense of humor and wit. You truly are an incredibly glass blower. But more importantly, you are going to be the person that helps me make the really heavy things in life that will be thrown our way feel lighter.”
After the wedding, Taylor remarked, “I’m so excited for what’s to come,” and Garrett concurred. As for whether they’ve stayed together since filming, viewers will find out during the season 7 reunion on October 30.
Ashley and Tyler
Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis kicked off their romance on a high note but hit a major snag in episode 9 when Ashley discovered that Tyler had fathered three children.
“I feel like we had such great communication and I don’t understand how two weeks before our wedding, you drop this kind of bomb,” she told him, discussing his “sperm donor babies.” However, hope flickered when Ashley expressed to Tyler, “I’m not upset by you trying to help a couple have kids. I think that’s admirable in certain ways.”
After overcoming the shocking revelation, Ashley and Tyler made it to the altar. With tears in his eyes, Tyler declared, “You’ve shown me what love truly is. I promise to cherish every moment, support your dreams, and embrace the beautiful unknown that lies ahead. With you, every day is a new chapter, and I can’t wait to fill the pages of our love story together.” In her vows, Ashley referred to Tyler as “the man who makes me feel soft, adored, and protected, heart and body.” “I’ve never felt a love this pure, yet fierce,” she told him. Ashley described their love story as a fairytale and told Tyler that he’s her soulmate before they both said, “I do.”
Post-wedding, Ashley revealed, “I wouldn’t have found a love like this without this experiment.” The couple also shared their excitement about starting a family together. However, their current relationship status will be unveiled at the reunion.
Marissa and Ramses
Ramses Prashad and Marissa George faced numerous obstacles during their relationship. While Marissa is a Navy veteran, Ramses is openly anti-military, even telling her friends he’d divorce her if she reenlisted. A tense discussion in episode 10 led Ramses to question whether Marissa was the right match for him, especially when she expressed a desire not to be touched while feeling unwell.
They also had differing opinions about birth control, with Ramses voicing his dislike for condoms. Despite these issues, it seemed they would make it to their wedding day.
At the end of episode 11 and the beginning of episode 12, Marissa and Ramses were shown having a difficult conversation. Wrapped in a blanket, Ramses revealed that, after consulting with family members, he was uncertain about marriage. “I just learned that my ex was hurting much more than I realized after the divorce,” he admitted. “And I’m just scared that something may happen where I’d end up hurting you.”
Ramses elaborated, “This connection is amazing but there are certain things that you can’t get around, especially when it comes to living together and spending the day-to-day together that’s crazy important.” When Marissa pressed for more clarity, he stated, “It’s about your energy and my energy living and coexisting in the same space... Is our energy going to be too much for me or make me feel overwhelmed?” He continued, “It was great and fine in Cabo, but here everyday when you bring in work and day-to-day stresses, there’s so much going on, I didn’t feel like I had a moment to myself.”
Visibly upset, Marissa shared that past partners had cited her “energy” during breakups, which was heartbreaking for her. Crying, she said, “This is not right. This is the worst heartbreak I’ve ever experienced.” She called her mom to reveal Ramses’s decision. “I feel like I’m dying,” she confessed.
Marissa explained, “Two days ago, he told me he was so excited to get married. We picked out our first dance song, and he got emotional because he envisioned us getting married.” She continued, “So it’s really hard for me to come to the conclusion that we’re done.”
Nick and Hannah
Nick Dorka and Hannah Jiles faced a rocky start to their romance. In the pods, Hannah was torn between Nick and Leo but ultimately accepted Nick’s proposal. However, their issues began to surface during their vacation in Mexico when Hannah grew upset after seeing Nick ride a plastic duck while joking with a female stranger.
In episode 11, the couple argued about the group’s costume party, during which Nick spoke to Katie, another woman he dated in the pods. Later, they sat down for a serious talk, revealing that their relationship struggles were too significant to overcome.
Hannah consistently criticized Nick, suggesting that at 28, he should take on more responsibilities and not live in his parents’ basement. When Nick countered by stating he was focused on building his real estate business and committed to being a good partner, Hannah seemed dismissive of his efforts. “I’ve never seen this side of you where you constantly bash me and say, ‘I’m turning you from a boy to a man,’” he expressed. “This is just you being, kind of like, hard on me. I’m not the type of man to sit here and come up with a notebook full of notes and bash you.”
Hannah attempted to justify her criticisms, stating, “I love you and I want this so freaking bad,” but admitted she didn’t fully understand him. Nick responded, “I thought I was good enough for you, and I was wrong the whole time.” He revealed that the breakup would be one of the worst experiences of his life, saying, “You’ll always be in my heart.”
In an interview with People, Hannah discussed her choice to end her engagement with Nick, saying, “I think for me, it just came down to: I saw my friends [with him], my family was there, and I just had a moment where I was kind of like, what am I doing? If I’m still seeing all these issues and I’m just being mean to this man, I feel like I’m just dogging on this man, this is probably not someone that I want to be married to. It just all came to [this] realization, we shouldn't be together.”
In an impromptu interview with TMZ, Nick joked that he’d love to be the next Bachelor, hinting he’s single following his Love Is Blind journey.
Tim and Alex
Alex Byrd and Tim Godbee weathered a significant argument during their vacation in Mexico, and they even met each other’s parents. However, in episode 10, Tim suddenly ended their relationship, expressing dissatisfaction with some of Alex’s behavior.
“I understand you were sleepy, but my parents drove up here 10 hours to meet you,” he told her. “As soon as the cameras cut, you decided to go to sleep at the first opportunity.” Tim elaborated, sharing that he felt offended by Alex’s choice. “These are the most important people in my life and all I have left in this world. And the choice you made in that moment was to go to sleep. To me, that is telling, because that’s just not a choice that I would ever make.” Alex explained she was exhausted after hours of talking to Tim’s parents on camera and hadn’t realized that napping would be viewed as such a faux pas. Unfortunately, it appeared that Tim had already made his decision.
“After reflecting on what I really want out of life and a wife, I have to be honest with myself that the answer between you and I, and for me, is no,” he stated.
Alex expressed her anger, noting that Tim had just met her father, who has multiple sclerosis, and she didn’t want to involve him in Love Is Blind unless she was sure they were getting married. “I did not take you meeting my father and getting him that emotional so lightly,” she told him. “How dare you do that and then just throw it away after two days.”
Alex continued, “And now you’re ready to just throw it away because I fell asleep and because I didn’t text you?”
After Tim confirmed the end of their relationship, Alex hinted at “temper tantrums” and “attitude” he had shown when the cameras weren’t rolling. Tim responded firmly, stating, “I don’t ever wanna see you again.”
In an interview with Vulture, Alex shared, “Tim was very, very strategic on what he talked about in front of the camera.” She added, “But I will say, if something bothered him, he would not address it until after we got off camera. And sometimes it would turn into an argument, because when you come from two different worlds, you might take something a different way, and now we’re just trying to understand each other.”
Monica and Stephen
Monica Davis and Stephen Richardson appeared to have a strong connection, but their romance abruptly ended in episode 8. Viewers witnessed Monica confronting Stephen about “sexual” messages she discovered on his phone from another woman.
“I did make a completely stupid mistake while being drunk at a sleep test with somebody who texted me,” Stephen admitted during the episode. “I know that it was a stupid decision.”
Stephen explained that he only replied to the messages after realizing Monica intended to wait until marriage to have sex, leading him to doubt their potential for marriage. “Don’t you f*cking blame me at all for you being gross,” Monica shot back. Before leaving their apartment, she made Stephen Venmo her the money he owed her. Heartbroken, Monica revealed, “I’m almost embarrassed about how much of my heart I’ve given you. You were gonna shake my dad’s hand this weekend? While you were planning on cheating? I don’t understand.”
In an interview with Glamour, Taylor revealed that Garrett had unintentionally helped expose Stephen’s betrayal. “So, that night I had baked all these pumpkin muffins for all the couples, and we were delivering them,” Taylor explained. “Garrett had texted Stephen like, ‘Hey, coming up with muffins.’ And then because of that, Monica checked his phone and saw the text messages. It kind of all went from there.”
Brittany and Leo
Unfortunately, Leo Braudy and Brittany Wisniewski became one of season 7’s most tumultuous couples. Although Brittany was all in from the beginning, Leo expressed his lingering feelings for Hannah. As fans know, Hannah ultimately chose Nick D. after feeling attacked by Leo during an intense declaration of his love in the pods. Subsequently, Leo proposed to Brittany, but not before she read him a Burn Book-style letter addressing his indecisiveness.
Their initial in-person meeting was filled with awkwardness. Despite Leo’s repeated declarations of love, Brittany seemed unable to reciprocate the sentiment. “I just didn’t feel the things that you would think that you would feel when you’re getting proposed to, despite having such a strong connection,” she told People.
Because they weren’t invited to Mexico with the other couples, Leo and Brittany opted for their own trip to Miami. While they had fun together, they ultimately decided to part ways and remain friends.
“We had a lot of conversations throughout the trip and mutually came to the conclusion that we just didn’t see it turning into marriage,” Leo shared with People after their breakup.
