IHC summons jailer over Imran meeting denial

The court directed the jail official to appear in person on Thursday

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a notice to the Adiala Jail superintendent for denying meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan, ordering him to submit a reply on the matter.

The court directed the jail official to appear in person on Thursday (today).

Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan presided over the contempt case related to the denial of meetings with Imran. PTI founder's counsel Salman Akram Raja stated that even lawyers were being denied access to meet Imran.

The court inquired whether the local commission had been contacted.
