MQM-P leader Rana Ansar's son dies in car accident

35-year-old Shahzaib Naqvi died when car overturned while making turn near Clifton Underpass, one injured in accident

Shahzaib Naqvi, the youngest son of MQM Pakistan's Member of National Assembly (MNA) Rana Ansar, has died in a traffic accident, while another young man was injured in the incident.

According to police, the accident took place early Wednesday morning near Clifton Underpass within the jurisdiction of Clifton police station.

The deceased and the injured were in a car when the accident occurred due to speeding while making a turn.

The bodies of the deceased and the injured were promptly transported to Jinnah Hospital, where the deceased was identified as 35-year-old Shahzaib Naqvi and the injured as 30-year-old Ilyas.

SHO Clifton Azam Rajper reported that the deceased resided on Rashid Minhas Road and was the youngest son of MQM Pakistan's female MNA Rana Ansar and the late senior journalist Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi, while the injured is a friend of the deceased Shahzaib.

They reported that the deceased and the injured were both in the car. Early in the morning, near Clifton Underpass, the car lost control while making a turn due to high speed, resulting in it flipping over. As a result, Shahzaib, died, and his friend Ilyas was injured.

Following legal procedures, the police handed over the body of the deceased to his family.

Meanwhile, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the death of MNA Rana Ansar's son. He stated that he felt profound sadness upon hearing the news of the untimely passing of Rana Ansar’s young son. He prayed for Allah to grant Rana Ansar and her family patience during this difficult time.
