Stanley Tucci, widely recognized for his role as Nigel in the 2006 hit *The Devil Wears Prada*, recently opened up about the surprising career challenges he faced following the film's success.

Despite the movie's overwhelming box office performance and two Academy Award wins, Tucci revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that he struggled to land new roles after the film's release. “After The Devil Wears Prada, I couldn’t get a job, and I didn’t quite understand that, but that’s just the way it was,” Tucci shared, reflecting on the unexpected downturn in his acting opportunities. As a result, he took on projects that he may not have necessarily wanted to, simply to keep his career moving forward.

The actor's career has seen its fair share of ups and downs, often influenced by personal circumstances. In addition to professional hurdles, Tucci faced significant health challenges. He was diagnosed with cancer six years ago, an illness that temporarily halted his career. While undergoing treatment, Tucci explained that he had to return to work sooner than he felt ready, driven by financial pressures and a need to remain active in the industry. Although it was difficult to find the energy post-treatment, Tucci persevered, recognizing that acting was not just a job but a passion he needed to continue pursuing.

Fortunately, Tucci’s career has since rebounded, and he remains a beloved figure in Hollywood. With a versatile body of work, including notable performances in The Lovely Bones, which earned him an Oscar nomination, and the Hunger Games franchise, Tucci has continued to captivate audiences. Recently, he appeared in Conclave, and rumours suggest he may reprise his role in the much-anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. Despite the challenges, Tucci's resilience has allowed him to maintain a respected and lasting career in the entertainment industry.
