House of the Dragon star Matt Smith has provided a concerning update on the status of season 3, revealing during a New York Comic-Con panel that neither he nor co-star Tom Glynn-Carney have seen a script or received any information about the upcoming season.

Glynn-Carney admitted, "Not a jot, not a letter," adding that the delay has kept them in the dark. Smith echoed these sentiments, stating, "I’ve not heard hide nor hair," though co-star Fabien Frankel teased that he’s heard rumors he couldn’t share.

This lack of updates comes as a surprise, given that House of the Dragon was renewed for a third season in June, with creator Ryan Condal confirming a four-season plan for the Game of Thrones prequel.

The delays and silence have fans speculating whether changes are being made to the storyline, especially after author George R.R. Martin’s now-deleted blog post, which criticized some creative choices made in season 2.
