Rizvia police arrested three suspects involved in robbing citizens who withdraw cash from ATMs. The suspects, identified as Arif, Tanveer, and Rab Nawaz, were found in possession of weapons and stolen goods.
According to SSP Central Zeeshan Siddiqui, the suspects would target citizens withdrawing cash from ATMs, hold them hostage, and flee with the money. CCTV footage showed the suspects committing the crimes.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to committing over two dozen robberies. One of the suspects, Rab Nawaz, had been arrested 11 times previously but was released on bail each time. The police have registered a case against the suspects and initiated further investigation.
In a separate account, Shah Latif police conducted a raid near a machine tool factory, arresting three suspects, Nazim Hussain, Jalil, and Manzoor, linked to motorcycle lifting and street crimes. The operation, based on a tip-off, recovered two 30-bore pistols, a motorcycle, mobile phones, and cash from the suspects. According to SSP Malir Kashif Abbasi, the arrested suspects are involved in various street crimes along the National Highway, Super Highway, and other city areas.
