King Charles attacked by Australian politician accusing him of genocide: "You are not my king"

An Australian politician interrupted King Charles's speech at Australia's Parliament today with a vulgar outburst after he concluded a speech appreciating the warm welcome he had received in the country.

Senator Lidia Thorpe, a prominent Indigenous activist known for making bold statements at significant political events, shouted, "f*** the colony" and "you are not my king" at Parliament House in Canberra on Monday.

Wearing a traditional fur coat, she yelled: "You committed genocide against our people. Give us our land back."

"Give us what you stole from us. Our bones, our skulls, our babies, our people. You destroyed our land."

"Give us our treaties. We want a treaty in this country. You are a genocidalist. This is not your land, this is not your land."

Senator Thorpe continued to shout, "Not my king," as security escorted her out of the chamber.

Prior to her outburst, she had turned her back when the Australian anthem, God Save The King, was played.

Buckingham Palace declined to make an official statement about Thorpe's outburst, but insiders dismissed the protest, noting that Their Majesties were "deeply touched" by the warm reception they had received throughout the day.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were seen laughing off the politician's heckling during the incident.

Earlier that day, Senator Thorpe was almost arrested while demonstrating against the King and Queen Camilla's visit to Canberra.

There was a confrontation between her and the police during an Indigenous protest held outside the Australian War Memorial.

The protest consisted of about two dozen Indigenous demonstrators who gathered outside the Memorial, chanting, "always was, always will be Aboriginal land."

The group was positioned far from where the King and Queen were present.

Senator Thorpe was seen engaging in a heated exchange with a police officer who grabbed her shirt. She then removed her shirt and walked away from the officer.
