JHANG:
A shopkeeper was attacked after he told several people not to stand in front of his shop on Saturday. According to police officials, Sial Mor resident shopkeeper Muhammad Arif Ansari moved an application for the registration of a case against Manzoor Ahmed and Muhammad Siddique for not standing in front of his shop. “They were rowdy and began brawling outside my store. I told them I didn’t want any trouble so I asked them to leave,” he told police. On Sunday, Manzoor, Siddique and five armed men broke into Ansari’s shop and held him at gunpoint. When he shouted for help, area residents came to his rescue after which the men fled the scene. Bhagtanwala police have started an investigation and registered a case.
