Ex ‘American Idol’ contestant arrested for child pornography possession
Benjamin Glaze, a former contestant on season 16 of 'American Idol,' has been arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography, as revealed by the Tulsa Police Department.
According to a Facebook post by the department, the Sexual Predator/Digital Evidence Recovery Unit investigated Glaze after receiving information about his involvement with child sexual abuse material.
Authorities executed a search warrant and reportedly discovered over 700 images and videos on his smartphone. Glaze was arrested on Friday afternoon and later released on a $50,000 bond after being charged with aggravated possession of child pornography.
Glaze gained attention on 'American Idol' when he revealed during his audition that he had never kissed a girl, leading to a controversial moment when judge Katy Perry kissed him. Although some fans criticized the incident, Glaze later clarified that he did not feel sexually assaulted by Perry.
