Michael Jordan's father's murder may have been wrongfully pinned on convicted man, judge suggests
In a surprising and unexpected development nearly 30 years after the tragic event, the 1993 murder case of Michael Jordan's father, James Jordan, is once again under scrutiny.
According to 'NBC News', Judge Gregory Weeks, who originally presided over the case, has now requested the state of North Carolina’s parole commission to release Daniel Green, one of the two men convicted of the crime.
Green, who was 18 at the time, has been serving a life sentence for the botched robbery-turned-murder of James Jordan.
While he has always maintained that he didn’t shoot Jordan, Green admitted to helping his co-defendant, Larry Demery, dispose of the body. The judge's request is a significant development, though it remains unclear what new evidence or circumstances led to this move.
