In a thrilling finish to the Bengaluru Test, New Zealand secured a historic victory over India by eight wickets, marking their first Test win on Indian soil in 36 years.

The match showcased remarkable performances and dramatic comebacks amid overcast conditions, with New Zealand successfully chasing down a target of 107 runs.

Rachin Ravindra led the charge for the Kiwis, scoring 39 not out, while Will Young contributed with an unbeaten 48.

Their partnership proved crucial after a fierce bowling display from India's Jasprit Bumrah, who claimed 2 wickets for 29 runs. Bumrah's spell included the early dismissal of Tom Latham and the removal of Devon Conway, who had scored 91 runs.

Despite a disappointing first innings total of just 46, India mounted a strong second innings, scoring 462 runs, driven by Sarfaraz Khan’s impressive 150 and Rishabh Pant’s near-century with 99 runs.

However, New Zealand’s substantial first-innings lead of 402, bolstered by Ravindra's century and Conway's 91, ultimately proved insurmountable.

As New Zealand chased down the target, Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav struggled to contain the batting duo of Ravindra and Young.

This victory represents New Zealand's third-ever Test win in India and concludes an epic contest that captivated fans.
