Quadruple murder shocks Lyari

Police found bodies of four women, including three teenagers and one elderly lady with their throats slit in an apartment building near Lea Market, Lyari. The bodies were found in separate rooms on the seventh floor of Zainab Arcade, Bantawa Street.

The deceased were identified as 13-year-old Alina, 18-year-old Madiha, 19-year-old Ayesha and 51-year-old Shamshad.

SSP City Arif Aziz confirmed the victims were present at the crime scene. The murderer escaped with the weapon. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from Bantawa Street. The victims' grief-stricken family member, Muhammad Farooq, grandfather of 13-year-old Alina, revealed the tragic incident claimed his wife, daughter, granddaughter and daughter-in-law. Farooq explained he and his sons were not present in the apartment when the horrific incident took place.

"When we came home, we knocked at the door, but received no response," Farooq said. "We have no suspicions against anyone, nor any enmity." Farooq appealed for a thorough investigation and justice.

Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed stated that autopsy samples were preserved for chemical examination and DNA analysis. Laboratory reports will clarify the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
