Three injured in FC convoy attack

After the police and security forces, it was Frontier Constabulary that came under attack near the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur's farmhouse today on Saturday in D I Khan.

As per reports, the FC convoy was heading towards their station when they were targeted by an IED attack on Tank Road at Hathala.

As a result, three FC personnel were wounded and their vehicle damaged. One of the injured said said ti be in critical condition and was referred to DI Khan for treatment. The police, security forces and FC personnel arrived the site, collected evidence.

They also confirmed that the FC driver was changing lanes when the attack took place. The forces conducted a search and combing operations in the area, and took some suspects in for investigation/interrogation.

Most of the Southern districts have become areas of lawlessness at night, and this blast shows the weakness of the intelligence efforts on the ground.

In August, at least two policemen were martyred in an attack on a convoy of vehicles carrying judges Hathala area in DI Khan, Express News reported.

The convoy included Additional Judge Tang Hasnain, Additional Sessions Judge South, and Senior Civil Judge Mah Jabeen, who were all unharmed.

Initial reports indicated that the judges' convoy was attacked by gunfire. In this terrorist action, two officers of the Upper Waziristan Police, Abdullah and Constable Samad Khan, were martyred.

There are also reports of two individuals being injured in the incident near Bhagwal.

Following the incident, the bodies and injured were transported to the hospital. A heavy contingent of police responded swiftly, gathering evidence from the scene, cordoning off the area, and launching a search operation for the terrorists.
