Authorities in Lahore, the capital of Punjab, have decided to implement artificial rain as a measure to tackle the city's rising smog levels.

According to sources, preparations for the artificial rain are already underway as part of efforts to curb smog and combat increasing air pollution. Experts have been consulted for the initiative.

In addition to this, there are suggestions to temporarily close schools due to the worsening pollution levels, which have been particularly harmful to children.

The Ministry of Finance has approved a budget of 350 million rupees ($1.2 million) for the artificial rain project. The departments of environment and meteorology will play key roles in the execution of the plan.
