Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in District Pishin, acting on reports of Fitna al-Khawarij presence, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Five terrorists were apprehended, and a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, including three suicide vests, was recovered.
The apprehended individuals had been involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target both security forces and civilians.
In another operation on 17 October 2024, in District Zhob, two terrorists were killed during a fire exchange with security forces. Following the operation, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the sanitisation of the area.
Pakistan’s security forces, as per the ISPR, remain committed to eradicating terrorism and protecting innocent civilians from these threats.
PM commends security forces for successful operation against terrorists
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the officers and soldiers of security forces for successful operation against Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in districts Pishin and Zhob.
In a statement, the Prime Minster stated “The entire nation including myself, pays tribute to the brave Pak army soldiers and officers for purging the country from Fitna al-Khawarij.”
He said the entire nation stood united with the Pakistan Armed Forces in their mission to thwart the ambitions of Pakistan’s enemies, who aim to spread unrest and instability in the country.
21 terrorists killed in Balochistan operations after deadly attacks
In Musakhel, terrorists intercepted a bus, forced passengers off, and shot them after checking their identity cards, killing 23 people, mostly from Punjab.The assailants set fire to 35 vehicles before fleeing the scene.
In Kalat, ten people, including police and Balochistan Levies personnel, were killed in a gun attack.The attack in Kalat began along the national highway and continued into the city.
In response, security forces launched successful operations, killing 21 terrorists during clearance operations across Balochistan following a series of deadly attacks on civilians and security forces, according to the military.
