A female student of Liaquat Medical University was allegedly abducted, while a male student from the University of Sindh went missing while traveling from Kotri to the university, leading to protests by students.

A final-year student, named Amina, was allegedly abducted while returning from the university.

A case of abduction has been registered at the Kotri police station on the complaint of her husband against Shahbaz, Shahzad, Gul Muhammad. It has been stated in the complaint that he used to drop his wife at the bus point every day, but she did not return on the day of the incident. His wife had been receiving abduction threats over the phone from a young man named Shahzad. The accused have abducted his wife with the intention of sexual assault.
