Liam Payne, former One Direction star, reportedly smashed his laptop in a fit of rage after receiving a distressing email just minutes before his tragic fall from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palmero Hotel in Buenos Aires.

Witnesses claim Payne, who had been staying at the hotel for a wedding, shouted "f*** this s**t mate!" before destroying his laptop. One of the last people to see Payne alive, a 28-year-old IT consultant named Rebecca (not her real name), shared her disturbing account of the events with MailOnline.

Rebecca described seeing Payne lying on a sofa in the hotel lobby, visibly upset after reading an email. "He opened his emails and saw one which obviously upset him," Rebecca explained, adding that Payne then shouted, "f*** this s**t mate!" and began bashing the laptop on the ground. Shortly after, hotel staff raised the alarm at 5:04 pm, and Payne was found dead after falling 45 feet from his balcony.

Rebecca captured haunting photographs of Payne just minutes before his fall, and investigators have since seized Payne’s mobile phone and laptop to analyze for clues. Payne had recently been dropped by his record label, Universal Music, and was reportedly facing legal issues with his ex-fiancée Maya James.

Authorities are investigating the incident as an "inconclusive death," with Payne’s family expressing their heartbreak in a statement, saying, "Liam will forever live in our hearts." Payne’s former bandmates also paid tribute, with Harry Styles calling him "warm, supportive, and incredibly loving." Fans have held vigils outside the hotel to honor Payne’s legacy.
