Dubai is set to unveil its latest architectural gem, the Muraba Veil, which is poised to redefine the city's skyline—not for its towering height, but for its extraordinary slenderness.
Standing at 380 metres, this innovative skyscraper will be one apartment wide, earning it the title of one of the narrowest skyscrapers ever constructed.
Located along the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal, the Muraba Veil presents a striking silhouette with a width of just 22.5 metres, challenging traditional skyscraper designs and making a bold statement in contemporary urban architecture.
“Awe-inspiring yet understated, Muraba Veil rises from the dunes above the UAE’s most cosmopolitan and future-facing city, presenting a daring, stop-you-in-your-tracks spectacle,” shared the design team behind this remarkable project.
Designed by the renowned Spanish studio RCR Arquitectes, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, the 73-storey Muraba Veil will feature 131 apartments, each uniquely spanning the full width of the building and offering breathtaking panoramic views on both sides.
In addition to these luxurious residences, the tower will boast high-end amenities, including a spa, a fine dining restaurant, an art gallery, a private cinema, and even a padel court.
What truly distinguishes the Muraba Veil is the stainless steel “veil” that envelops the structure, providing a sleek, modern aesthetic.
The developers emphasize that the design is deeply rooted in local culture, with apartments inspired by traditional Arab homes and arranged around a serene internal courtyard, creating a tranquil living environment.
“This is more than a beautiful residence. What we set out to achieve is a life-enhancing work of architecture that reflects the heritage of the UAE’s built environment,” stated Ibrahim Al Ghurair, managing director of Muraba.
“We want Muraba Veil to embody serenity, the same calm you feel when you enter the courtyard of an Arabic home.”
The Muraba Veil marks the fifth collaboration between Muraba and RCR Arquitectes, underscoring a decade-long partnership dedicated to harmonising architecture with the natural environment.
“We are passionate about ensuring our buildings respond to their place and belong to the native landscape,” remarked Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes.
As Dubai continues to evolve into a hub of modern architecture and design, the Muraba Veil stands as a testament to the city's commitment to innovation, cultural heritage, and sustainable living.
