Marius Borg Høiby denies assault allegations from two former girlfriends amid ongoing legal battle
Marius Borg Høiby, son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, has denied allegations that he assaulted two former girlfriends, Nora Haukland and Juliane Snekkestad. The accusations surfaced after Høiby admitted to assaulting his current girlfriend following an incident in August 2024.
According to reports, Marius had been detained for 30 hours after physically and psychologically assaulting a woman. During police interrogations, Høiby admitted to misconduct in one relationship but denied guilt regarding Haukland and Snekkestad.
His defense lawyer, Øyvind Bratlien, stated that Marius has already been questioned eight times by the authorities, where he provided detailed explanations. Despite the admission of his role in the assault on his current girlfriend, Marius has strongly denied the allegations from his previous relationships. His arrest in September also included an alleged violation of a restraining order, where he contacted one of the victims using a hidden phone number.
Marius released a statement expressing remorse, acknowledging his struggle with substance abuse and mental health issues. He emphasized his commitment to treatment and taking responsibility for his actions.
