KARACHI:

As London ushers in that magical (albeit torturous for some) time of year known as sweater weather, our very own Hania Aamir is already leading the fashion charge, flaunting her collection of wacky knits during her trip abroad. While we still have a few months of warmth left in Pakistan before we start unfolding our jumpers, Hania has given everyone back home some inspiration for when the time comes.

In an Instagram post, Hania sported an eye-catching knit that could only be described as an explosion of colour - a much-needed contrast to the gloomy sky above her. She donned a baggy fit colour-block jumper that looked like a canvas splashed with hues of peach, salmon, grass, and neon green. To make things even whackier, the jumper was adorned with baby blue flowers. She styled it with an acid-washed denim mini skirt and sheer leggings. Captured against iconic London backdrops - Piccadilly Circus, the London Eye, and Big Ben - Hania embodied the stereotypical tourist with fashion-forward thinking. Even her moments waiting at the less glamorous underground tube station and the bus stop turned into a masterclass in chic street style.

This wasn't the only gem in Hania's knitwear collection. In a post just before this one, she rocked a black and white checkered sweater vest that she ingeniously paired with bold bright orange trousers, a sleek leather jacket, and dark shades. The look proved her knack for mixing and matching to create something that is both fun and stylish.

Hania isn't alone in embracing the dopamine fuelled knitwear trend this autumn. Over at Paris Fashion Week, stars like Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig turned heads with their own quirky styles, blindly trusting designer Jonathan Anderson from Loewe. The couple showcased their flair for high fashion, braving the gloomy fall weather in kitschy, coordinating knitwear that radiated joy. Rachel sported the playful pink and Brat green (named after Charli XCX's viral vomit green album cover) mohair sweater paired with wide-leg denim culottes, while her husband complemented her with a black motorcycle jacket and colourful jumper, teamed with oversized khakis. Rather than leaning into cheesy matchy-matchy looks, the duo showed us how to ace casual coordination, proving that there's a fine line between being stylishly aligned and outright identical.
