Liam Payne’s ex-fiancée, Maya Henry, stated that the singer predicted his death just days before he tragically passed away at 31 on Wednesday.

The influencer, who was in a relationship with the former One Direction member from 2018 to 2022, opened up about his struggles with mental health and the alleged abuse she experienced during Monday’s episode of “The Internet Is Dead” podcast.

“He would always message me ever since we broke up [saying], ‘Oh, I’m not well,’” she claimed. “He would always play with death and be like, ‘Well, I’m going to die. I’m not doing well.’”

Henry, now 23, described his messages as a way to manipulate her emotions, making her feel sympathy for him even after their relationship ended.

“There was one time I tried to get him help and then he was not taking it,” she added. “He would text my mom, ‘I’m not doing well, have Maya contact me,’ because I wouldn’t respond.”

“It’s just always the same cycle.”

In February, Henry announced her fictional book, “Looking Forward,” which was inspired by journal entries she had written during her time with Payne.

She claimed that at one point, the “Steal My Girl” singer had called her mother and said, “I’m not going to be around much longer.”

“I don’t play with death,” Henry shared. “If you say this, I’m going to try and help you no matter what you’ve done. I think he took advantage of my family’s kindness.”

She also alleged that a friend of Payne had contacted her, warning her not to release the book out of concern for his mental health.

Henry explained that she had tried to help Payne get back into rehab but ultimately felt that his behavior was manipulative.

In the days leading up to his death, she claimed his actions had "gotten so much worse," though she couldn’t provide specific details, likely due to a cease-and-desist letter she had sent him earlier in the month.

“He would always just say, ‘I’m so sorry for everything I’ve done. I can’t live with myself,’ but then is continuing to try and traumatize me,” she claimed.

“I know the lifestyle he lives, and there is a day when something bad is going to happen, so I would always be like, ‘OK, he’s saying these things, I have to help him because if I don’t I won’t be able to live with myself if something does happen to him,’” Henry added.

The “Perfect” singer was reportedly dealing with legal issues between himself and Henry, who had claimed that Payne wouldn’t stop contacting her, before his death in Argentina on Wednesday.
