K-P sees 104 new dengue cases in a day

Total caseload tops 2,251 in the province

PESHAWAR:

The dengue outbreak continues in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, with 104 new cases confirmed over the past 24 hours.

The total number of dengue cases in the province has reached 2,251. According to a health department report, 74 dengue patients are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals.

In the last 24 hours, 23 more individuals have been hospitalised due to dengue, while there are 652 active cases in the province. The report indicates that Peshawar has reported the highest number of cases this month at 504, followed by Abbottabad 193, Mansehra 189, Hangu 178, Nowshera 151, Lower Kohistan 145, and Charsadda 121.

So far, two people have died from dengue in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, while 1,597 individuals have recovered from the virus.

Last month, Health Secretary Adil Shah assured the public that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Health Department is taking all necessary steps to control the spread of dengue.
