Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, posted a series of videos to Snapchat just hours before his tragic death in Argentina. In the since-deleted posts, Payne, 31, told fans he was having a "lovely day" while spending time with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

The couple shared breakfast and discussed plans to spend the day riding horses and playing polo, according to TMZ and The New York Post. Payne captioned one photo of the two with “Quality time 🥰.”

The singer reportedly died after falling from a third-story balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. Witnesses told TMZ that Payne was acting erratically in the hotel lobby earlier in the day, allegedly smashing a laptop before being escorted back to his room. His death occurred around 5 p.m. local time, though it is unclear whether the fall was accidental or intentional as investigations are ongoing.

Payne had flown to Argentina earlier this month to support former bandmate Niall Horan, who performed there. He remained in the country for an extended vacation following the concert. The "Strip That Down" singer had been open about his struggles with depression, alcohol, and drug abuse in the past, discussing his challenges in a 2021 podcast.

Payne rose to fame in 2010 as a member of One Direction, which became one of the best-selling boy bands in history. His sudden death has shocked fans and the music industry, as further details surrounding the incident continue to emerge.
