Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, has reportedly served the England footballer with divorce papers, marking the latest chapter in their tumultuous relationship.
According to sources, Kilner, 31, has begun legal proceedings to end their marriage, seeking half of Walker’s £27 million fortune. The couple’s relationship has been strained following Walker’s love child scandal with Instagram influencer Lauryn Goodman, with tensions rising in recent months.
A source revealed, “Kyle was stunned when he received the papers. They’re discussing next steps, but this could be Annie showing her strength.”
Walker, 34, and Kilner, who were childhood sweethearts, separated last year after it was revealed that Walker fathered a second child with Goodman. The Manchester City star admitted to making “idiot choices,” but the couple remained together for a time, even welcoming their fourth child in April.
Despite efforts to reconcile, Kilner's frustration grew after learning about the financial support Walker had been providing Goodman. Court documents showed he had spent significant amounts on her housing and amenities. Sources close to the couple suggest Kilner’s decision to file for divorce may have been influenced by these revelations, though it remains uncertain if the pair will officially part ways.
Friends of the couple said the divorce battle could get "ugly" as both parties consult lawyers.
