Kesha joins Charli XCX on stage and drop remix of ‘Spring Breakers’ on Charli’s remix album

Charli XCX and Kesha unleash a wild remix of ‘Spring Breakers’ on the expanded Brat album.

Charli XCX has teamed up with Kesha for a remix of the track "Spring Breakers," released on the expanded version of Charli’s remix album Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat. The new version of the song, produced by A.G. Cook, EASYFUN, and Jon Shave, features Kesha’s distinctive rap style. Over a glitchy, energetic beat, Kesha sings, “We going psycho, we going off, yeah, me and Charli, we the party girl gods,” adding a new edge to the track, which was originally part of Charli’s Brat album.

In total, the album now includes 35 tracks—17 remixes and 18 original songs—featuring collaborations with artists like Robyn, Ariana Grande, Troye Sivan, Lorde, Billie Eilish, and Julian Casablancas of The Strokes.

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Charli discussed the minimalist design of the original Brat album cover, explaining that the decision to create a basic text-based cover was both a cost-saving move and a way to subvert commercial expectations. “I was like, ‘This album is not going to appeal to a lot of people,’” Charli said. However, the cover has since become iconic among her fans.

The remix album builds on the success of the original Brat album, offering a more experimental and dynamic listening experience with contributions from a variety of high-profile artists.
