Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has sought details about illegal housing schemes in the provincial capital from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

Chairing a meeting in which a proposal to ban the sale plot files of illegal housing schemes was reviewed, the chief directed the LDA director general to submit a report within 15 days in this regard.

She also sought a comprehensive plan to fill the potholes in the roads in Lahore.

The CM was apprised during a briefing about the Lahore Shop and Drop Tramway plan that the 8.2km route would pass Kalma Chowk, Main Boulevard, Hussain Chowk, MM Alam Road, Mini Market and other areas.

She was informed that five trams would be operated simultaneously and one of them would be available after every two minutes at every stop.

A briefing was also given about the project of the construction of a road from Karim Block to the motorway.

A proposal to demolish the Data Nagar flyover in view of its dilapidated condition was reviewed in the meeting, while the LDA Road Network Restructuring Plan was submitted.
