Girls clinch top two slots in BIEK General Group exams
Female students have grabbed first two positions in the Class XII (Science General Group) annual examinations 2024, according to the results announced by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Tuesday.
BIEK Chairman Prof Amir Hussain Qadri said that Maniha Noor Rifat, a student of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, clinched the first position, securing 998 marks out of the total 1100. Maryam Rasool from Tabani's College North Nazimabad Campus came in second with 988 marks, while Abdullah Chaudhry of Adamji Government Science College grabbed the third position, securing 980 marks.
While sharing further details, Exam Moderator Zareena Rashid stated that out of 14,748 registered candidates, 14,534 appeared in the exam. A total of 7,112 candidates have been declared successful, showing a pass ratio of 48.93%. The breakdown reveals that 207 candidates secured A+ Grade, 871 achieved an A Grade, 2,006, B Grade, 2,911, C Grade, 1,109, D Grade, and seven candidates achieved E Grade.

Board Chairman Qadri congratulated the successful candidates. He also announced that a ceremony would be organised to honour the position-holders from all Intermediate groups, once all results were announced.
